MommyCon NYC 2019

MommyCon NYC will take place on April 6, 2019 and returns to the Grand Hyatt New York for the second year.

Join thousands of families who have attended MommyCon for a weekend of fun for new and expectant parents. We bridge education and learning with an interactive exhibitor hall, countless sessions and a hands-on approach to testing new products. You will meet leading experts who focus on subjects specific to parenting. Meet with one of our resident educators to try on baby carriers in-person. Learn about picky eating solutions with our feeding therapist, and tackle the daunting potty training saga with our potty training guru.

Our mission is to create a community of support, acceptance, and non-judgment for parents journeying through parenthood. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Who needs a ticket?

All adults need to buy a ticket. Children 16 and under are FREE, but require a Child Admission ticket. As an adult, select from one of the following options.

VIP Admission: VIP admission is the best of MommyCon. This ticket provides the ultimate MommyCon experience! This ticket includes two-day admission (Friday and Saturday) and will give you access to all sessions (including a very special VIP only session on Friday), event elements, and the exhibitor hall on Saturday. All VIP attendees will receive an upgraded VIP gift bag. Price: $150.00

Premium Admission – Baby: Premium admission includes single day admission and will give you access to sessions, event elements, and exhibitor hall. Premium admission attendees will receive a premium admission gift bag perfect for those who are expecting or with children up to 18 months of age. Price: $50.00.

Premium Admission – Toddler: Premium admission includes single day admission and will give you access to sessions, event elements, and exhibitor hall. Premium admission attendees will receive a premium admission gift bag perfect for those with children age 18 months or older. Price: $50.00.

General Admission: General admission includes single day admission and will give you access to that sessions, event elements, and exhibitor hall. This ticket does not include a gift bag. Price: $25.00

Child Admission: This ticket is for children 16 and under and helps us identify how many children will be attending the event. Price: FREE

Hotel Information

Our hotel block is at the Grand Hyatt New York. To make your reservation call 212-883-1234 and ask for the MommyCon rate. The block always sells out, so we recommend booking your room as soon as possible. Our group is exempt from the $25 destination fee.

Parking Information

The Hotel has on premise valet parking 24 hours daily through Standard Parking. Valet parking is available from both the 42nd street and Mezzanine entrance; all car retrievals are located on the Mezzanine Level.

The current rate is $60.00 for up to 6 hours and $70.00 for overnight. There is an additional $10.00 charge for SUVs. There are no in and out privileges and hotel parking is via valet only.  Customers will be charged additional fees for each entrance and departure.  For more details, please call Imperial Parking directly at (212)883-1234 extension 53.

The garage is located a few blocks from the hotel.  *We recommend calling 20 minutes in advance (ext. 53) to desired pick up time. It will accommodate regular size vans.  Larger vehicles will need to make other parking arrangements

Jessica Vanderberg is a Certified Doula (DTI), Certified Lactation Counselor and Childbirth Educator in training (CEA/MNY). After being diagnosed and treated with a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder with her third baby, she noticed the gaps in care for new parents and was called to do something to help families. She is the co-founder of MomTown: a pre-conception through postpartum care project with a focus on perinatal mental health through coaching, community building, education and support. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work at Fordham University, focusing on both perinatal mental health and family leave policy development. Jeffery Brown MD is a Georgetown educated physician whose experiences have led him to become a passionate Advocate for Self Care.He is committed to eliminating caregiver burnout. His goal is to improve the mental & physical health of medical caregivers and postpartum Moms. Jeffery is driven to do this work by the loss of his father (an Oral Surgeon,) and Jeffery’s own experience transitioning from a clinical career path. He is a Medical Doctor working as a Physician Liason and Premium Physician trainer at various hospital systems around the country. He is a former Faculty Mentor at SEAK Annual Conference. Paige Bellenbaum LMSW
Paige Bellenbaum, LMSW is one of the Founding Directors and the Chief External Relations Officer at The Motherhood Center. The Motherhood Center provides treatment and support to new an expecting mothers experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) otherwise known as postpartum depression. Paige began her commitment to screening, treatment and education on PMADs after she recovered from severe postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of her son. She co-authored New York State Legislation on PMAD screening and education with State Senator Liz Krueger that was signed into law in 2014. Paige has over 20 year experience creating and overseeing programs for vulnerable populations including homeless families and formerly incarcerated young adults, and has been a fierce advocate for funding and programming aimed at improving the situations for these populations and more.

Angelina Spicer is a comedian, actress, social media influencer, wife and mother. A cum laude graduate of Howard University, Spicer has smartly delved deep for comedy that’s authentic, transparent, and relatable. By using her social media platform, she became an outspoken advocate for maternal mental health after she was admitted into a psychiatric facility for treatment of postpartum depression (PPD). Food Options

The hotel will have food options available. Additionally, New York City is full of fantastic food options just steps from the hotel. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and snacks.

Registration

Show us your ticket on your phone, or as a print out, and we will get you your badge at registration. You can come and go as you please once you have your attendee badge. These badges have space on the front to write in your name and a little bit of info about yourself. We’ve found this is a great way to break the ice and meet other attendees.

Gift Bags

If you have a ticket type that includes a gift bag, you will be given a wrist band that you will then trade in when you pick up your bag.

Strollers are welcome at the event. However, we will ask for strollers to be folded if crowding becomes an issue.
