Food and Fun for the Family in The Big Apple

Going to MommyCon NYC, or planning to visit NYC at some point? Planning a visit to such a busy city can be overwhelming. Especially if you have children. You may be wondering about family friendly eateries and activities in the area. Here are a few places that you might want to check out.

No matter why you are visiting The Big Apple…..exploring the Grand Central Terminal is an absolute must! It’s an especially great place to stop if you are going to be at the Grand Hyatt for MommyCon, because the terminal is right next door. Open from 5:30am to 2:00am, it is the ultimate representation of the city that never sleeps. There is so much to do, see, and eat at the Grand Central Terminal.

Pershing Square is a really nice breakfast spot for families because there is a place to stow your strollers and they also provide high chairs. For lunch, you can get a Maine lobster roll while the little ones have a selection of chicken tenders, penne pasta, organic hot dogs and more. They even have fresh fruit smoothies and a happy hour for parents.

One of many great places to grab a bite to eat in NYC with your family is actually within Grand Central Terminal. The Shake Shack is guaranteed to shake up your family’s taste buds! Known for their amazing burgers, shakes, and custards…..the Shake Shack is a great place for the whole family!

Another great place to check out while in NYC is Times Square! Like the Grand Central Terminal, Times Square is a landmark with many other things to do, see, and eat!

Madame Tussauds is a great place near Times Square for a fun filled family adventure. Especially if you are traveling with some older children. Madame Tussauds is a cool museum filled with wax replicas of some of the most famous people. The museum has been around for over 200 years, with the first one originating in London. Now there are Madame Tussauds museums all over the world!

There are lots of other fun things to do near the Grand Hyatt. Dylan’s Candy Bar is always a winner with the kids! With over 7,000 amazing confections, and candy-inspired products…’s sure to be a great time!

After your day of exploring, you may be looking for a great place to have dinner. For dinner and a show, head to Ellen’s Stardust Diner. The food is incredible and the singing is outstanding. Guests are always impressed at the ability of the waiters who sing while ringing in an order and serving coffee!

This list can go on for days really! These are just a handful of some of the amazing things The Big Apple has to offer. Have you been to any of these places? What did you think? Share some other family friendly places with us!
