5 Family Friendly Restaurants Near MommyCon NYC

Whether you want grab and go or sit down joint, New York City has it all. With 20,000+ restaurants in the city, there is a place for everyone. Here are a few of our favorites that are close to the Grand Hyatt New York.

Grand Central Terminal Dining Concourse

The Grand Central Terminal Dining Concourse is a giant food court with everything from pizza, burgers, tacos, hot dogs, chicken to oysters. If you want something sugary, they have a couple bakeries and ice cream. You can also find the ever popular Shake Shack here.

Urbanspace Vanderbilt

Just a block north of Grand Central Terminal is another food court, Urbanspace Vanderbilt. It has just as much variety as the GCT Dining Concourse. This food hall has an “unbeatable selection of rotating concepts inside a truly iconic New York space.” Some vendors include Red Hook Lobster Pound, Takumi Taco, and Delaney Chicken.

Pershing Square

Pershing Square is a really nice breakfast spot for families because there is a place to stow your strollers and they also provide high chairs. For lunch, you can get a Maine lobster roll while the little ones have a selection of chicken tenders, penne pasta, organic hot dogs and more. They even have fresh fruit smoothies and a happy hour for parents.

Previti Pizza

Previti Pizza is also kid friendly, offering high chairs and stroller parking. It is a family-run restaurant that serves up over 30 handmade pies. Customers rave about their handmade Italian sandwiches saying the “House-roasted beef is dipped in its juices, layered with fresh mozzarella, and sandwiched between a genius realization of roast-beef-specific bread that’s a cross between and English muffin and focaccia.”

Quick Bites

For an easy meal that is familiar, Potbelly, Roti and Chipotle are just a block east of the hotel. These restaurants are staples across the country and known for being speedy. Whether you are in the mood for sandwiches, pita or burritos, these places give you the opportunity to grab and go so you can find something for everyone.

On the sweeter side, head to A La Mode Shoppe for some nut-free and egg-free ice cream. If you don’t want to go far for something yummy, you can find Baked by Melissa right outside the hotel. These are “hand-crafted, bite-size cupcakes and macarons in a variety of always-changing flavors.”
