Happy Fall, Y’all! It’s time for cooler temperatures, pumpkin everything, bon fires and more!
Every fall, I fondly remember going back to school shopping when I was a student. I loved buying school supplies and new clothes. I was always so excited for new jeans and new shoes.
My kiddos are still too young for school, but I still find ways to get my shopping fix taken care of. Instead of notebooks and binders, I treated myself to a new baby carrier. And I wore it while apple picking this weekend, so I’m really doubling down on fall activities. Honestly, chasing after my toddler while carrying an infant in the apple orchard would be a straight up nightmare if it wasn’t for babywearing.
Instead of buying a new purse, I’m considering getting a cute new diaper bag. It’s a necessity, right? Right. But seriously, sometimes moms need to get something just for them. We spend so much time taking care of everyone else, we often forget to take care of ourselves. I’m currently eyeing the Skip Hop Chelsea Downtown Chic Satchel. So cute and can be used beyond diaper days! Definitely a great infusion to my fall wardrobe.
We get out quite a bit in the summer, but it’s often too hot to really enjoy it. With the cooling weather, we plan to spend some quality time on walking trails enjoying the great outdoors. Even though I have 2 kids, I still drive a tiny car. Like laughably small, so space is an issue. The Baby Jogger City Tour is one of most compact strollers I’ve ever seen. Small enough to fit in my compact car with room for everything else.
For my little guy, I am so excited that it’s going to be cool enough for leg warmers. I think they look SO cute on babies – especially paired with a cloth diaper fluff butt. There are so many color combinations and patterns to choose from. Plus, leg warmers are great to use when babywearing because they prevent those red lines on baby’s legs and don’t ride up.
My last genius product for fall is the Genius Swaddle Set. I’ve yet to meet a mom who doesn’t love muslin swaddles. There are so many ways to use them well beyond the swaddling stage. Whether it’s a nursing or stroller cover, a play mat, burp cloth or more, I am obsessed with swaddles. I really enjoy the Love set of swaddles because it includes one gorgeous print and two solids. I have one within reach most of the time.
So, what do you have planned for fall?
