10 Family Friendly Eats in Times Square
Are you headed to MommyCon NYC on March 25, 2017? Looking for some ideas for quick, inexpensive, and family friendly eats near the event? You’re in luck! The Millennium Broadway Hotel in Times Square is an amazing locale for food as there are many options nearby. Far more than I could even begin to share, so here are a few highlights! All have meals available for $10.00 or less.
My number one suggestion for quick and inexpensive eats are food carts! Step outside and look around – you’ll have no trouble finding them! The food is delicious and you can’t beat the convenience! Here are a few that are close to the hotel:
Kwik Meal NYC (110 W. 45th St, New York, NY) at 45th St. and 6th Ave. Owned by a former chef from the Russian Tea Room, this cart specializes in Middle Eastern fare including chicken, lamb, and falafel plates.
Moshe’s Falafel Cart (94 W. 46th St, New York, NY) at 46th St. and 6th Ave. Drool worthy falafel, beloved of vegetarians everywhere! What else is there to say?
Biryani Cart at 46th St. and 6th Ave. Want to try some Indian food? Head on over to Biryani Cart for some flavorful biryani and kati rolls!
Oralle! Tacos! At 46th and 6th next to Biryani Cart. Serving a tasty selection of tacos, quesadillas, nachos, tortas, and burritos.
Pret (62 W. 45th St, New York, NY) is a café specializing in fresh sandwiches, wraps and salads. They offer all of their unsold food to charity at the end of each day, rather than keeping it to sell the next day. Amazing!
Want to try a Cuban sandwich? Head on over to Margon Restaurant (136 W. 46th St., New York, NY). They serve a selection of cold and hot sandwiches as well as other Cuban dishes.
Europa Café (1177 6th Ave, New York, NY) is a NYC chain where you can find breakfast items as well as a wide selection of sandwiches, soups, salads and bakery items.
You can’t visit New York without a trip to one of the Shake Shack (691 8th Ave, New York, NY) locations. A New York classic, the original Shake Shack was one of the first places my NYC native friends took me when I visited for the first time. They have delicious burgers, fries and, of course, shakes!
Now I know you are thinking to yourself, yes – all the food sounds amazing! But I’m a parent, so what I really need to know is where do I find coffee? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! Both Pret and Europa Café serve coffee and are open in the mornings! There is also Gregory’s Coffee (58 W. 44th St, New York, NY) and a 24-hour Starbucks (1500 Broadway, New York, NY) nearby!
One thing is for sure – you won’t have any trouble finding a variety of inexpensive and family friendly eats while visiting Times Square for MommyCon NYC!
