Happy Monday! We are back sharing more of our Parent Squad 2017 members! Our Parent Squad is a carefully assembled group of parents who are passionate about sharing the story and images of their family with our community. The main goal is to bring the MommyCon community together by providing authentic opinions, real-life product reviews and giveaways via social media and blogging. If you missed our first two sets of introductions, you can find those posts here and here. We’ll continue introducing you to our members each Monday and Wednesday leading into the New Year. Enjoy!
My name is Jeanette and I am a full time Mom to 4 boys, ages 5 and under and an Occupational Therapist. Living in chilly North Eastern Pennsylvania, I am a proud Married Mama to my husband and also a Fur-Mom to a crazy German Shepherd and football shaped cat. I write Mama Banana’s Adventures blog where I cover parenting topics including cloth diapers, babywearing, breastfeeding, pregnancy, reusable menstrual products, green topics and Occupational Therapy. I also write product reviews and host giveaways from some really amazing sponsors.
What is your favorite movie? My favorite move is ELF and I love Will Ferrell.
What type of food brings you comfort? Coffee, did I say coffee? Coffee.
What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? The best piece of advice I received was to listen to my baby. I have received lots of parenting advice but know the expert on what works for my baby…is my baby!
What is your favorite movie? I’ve always love Lady and the Tramp, I’m a sucker for Disney and dogs, so it’s a winner.
What type of food brings you comfort? Anything cheesy- macaroni, enchiladas, pizza- you know the super healthy kind of food (haha).
What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? That’s it’s ok to not feel like you have it all together. It’s ok to need help, or to need a break. You can be an amazing mother and still take time for yourself. Balance is key.

My name is Carolyn, I am married to my sweetheart and a mother to our two-year-old son plus another little one on the way due in May 2017. We traded our little house near a corn field for sunshine and mountains in Arizona. I have a range of interests from business to natural birth. I love writing and how I am able to weave that passion into both business and mothering.
What is your favorite movie? Dance was a huge part of my life so I have to say one of my favorite movies is “Center Stage.”
What type of food brings you comfort? Mashed potatoes would be my first answer. I also love smoothies!
What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? I have received many helpful pieces of advice in regards to parenting, but there is one quote that stands out as it is helpful for both myself as a mother and to acknowledge in my toddler. “Feelings are healing if we let them be” is the quote attributed to Janet Lansbury. Part of respecting my children as whole people is empathizing and acknowledging feelings, even “negative” ones like sadness, without shame or downplaying them to “you’re ok!” right away. There is something incredibly relieving and empowering to acknowledge even my own feelings without shame or judgement, and I hope to always do the same for my children.
Hey y’all! My name is Brittany and I am a boy mom…for now at least! San Antonio, Texas is where I call home and I am blessed to be married to my best friend, Brian. A fun fact about us is we have known each other all our lives. We met through our dads who were best friends when they were 16. We have 2 boys, Bryce and Brock. Yes, that’s a lot of B’s in our family! Bryce is 2.5 years old and Brock is 9 months. I also help raise my baby brother Tristan who is about to be 5!
What is your favorite movie? Sheesh, I have a few…Troy, Tristan and Isolde, 300, Star Wars and Zoolander!
What type of food brings you comfort? Brownies…that’s a food type right?!
What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? The best parenting advice I have ever received actually came from a song. “It won’t be like this for long” by Darius Rucker. I heard it before I had children and it comes to my mind every time I’m going through one of those harder times in parenting. It has helped me to do my best to appreciate and cherish every moment of parenthood by helping me so how very fleeting time is. I always say, and it’s so true, I never knew how fast time went…until I became a parent.
