Enjoy!

We currently live in Titusville, Florida and we love hanging at the pool, going to the beach, traveling, and watching movies. I was born in Panama and so was my first son. I am currently a blogger and an artist. We are a breastfeeding, babywearing, and cloth diapering family. I love all things MommyCon!

What type of food brings you comfort? Hispanic food.

What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? When times are tough we need to realize, that there are other parents going through the same thing if not worse. We are all in this journey together.

I live in Chicago with my husband Travis and work full-time as a program coordinator. I have a masters degree in public health and when I am not managing my website you can find me play with kids or surfing the web for the best savings.

What is your favorite movie? The Little Mermaid.

What type of food brings you comfort? My homemade mac and cheese.

What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? Always allow your children to know that they can make mistakes, you will love them, support them and they that have a home to come back to no matter what.

img_4731My name is Austin and I am a SAHM of two beautiful little ones, my son Maddox (2) and my daughter Elliot (3mo). I am a tandem breastfeeding, cloth diapering, babywearing, and VBAC mama. I am passionate about attachment parenting for every family! I am married to my amazing husband Tyler who is on this journey with me! I currently reside in Central Illinois (2.5 hours south of Chicago) and hope to be moving soon to a bigger city where I plan to pursue a career as a doula and LC.

What is your favorite movie? Band of Brothers (HBO series that makes up one massive movie), The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and ELF! Yeah, I am a total kid at heart and can’t pick a favorite.

What type of food brings you comfort? My Grandma Loretta’s homemade noodles and southern style sweet tea!

What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? When it comes to parenting advice children are not “One Size Fits All” so you do what’s best for you and your family. No one knows your kids better than you and your husband.

ssed-81My name is Shari and I am a semi-crunchy Central Valley mama who goes to as many baby fairs as I can in my area each year. My daughter is 5 and I’m expecting a little boy in February. I’m pretty involved in my local baby fairs, publishing my parenting website for moms & dads, work as a freelance media manager/event planner/content creator, and just started classes to become a doula (gotta get this stuff before baby #2, right?).

What is your favorite movie? I have a few favorite movies: Dead Poet’s Society and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind come to mind.

What type of food brings you comfort? Carbs and sweets! I’m all about pastries.

What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? The best advice I’ve ever gotten as a parent was to trust my instincts. I had spent so much time not listening to them before motherhood and becoming a mom gave me the courage to listen to them and be more outgoing.

mommycon-parent-squadMy name is Stefanie and I am a blogger and stay at home mom living in Calgary, Alberta. I have two boys, one is four years old and the other is seventeen months old. I love helping other moms on their journey through parenthood, so I started a blog to do just that. I write about my experiences with cloth diapering, breastfeeding, and babywearing, and I sprinkle in some advice and opinions along the way! Before becoming a mom, I was working on a PhD in ancient history. I decided to trade academia for mom life, so here I am knee deep in cloth diapers, nursing bras, and car seats, and I wouldn’t change a thing!

What is your favorite movie? An Education.

What type of food brings you comfort? There are two kinds of food that bring me comfort: my dad’s recipes (because they’re a little weird, but always yummy), and cheesecake.

What is the best piece of advice you have received as a parent? This advice came from my husband’s mentor when I was pregnant with our oldest son. It’s easily the best advice we ever received. Be calm around the baby! No matter what is happening, try your best to keep your cool. Baby feeds off your energy, so if you’re calm then baby will be calm too (hopefully)!
