What is the Mom Squad?
The Mom Squad is a team of moms (and dads – yes we will rename the program if a daddy is selected) who are digitally sharing their parenting journeys to inspire the community, because, let’s face it– we’re all in this together. MommyCon is looking to build & support a motivated team of moms to bring the MommyCon community together via social media and blogging. Every applicant from all walks of life will be seriously considered.
What will be required of a Mom Squad member?
We’re looking for personalized content from someone who feels comfortable sharing their parenting journey in front of thousands of people. It’s not always easy and it’s not always pretty, but we want the good, the bad and yes, even the spit-up. Most importantly, we just want you to be real. You will be responsible for producing one written piece per month as well as 14 images with captions for uson MommyCon’s social media platforms. Additionally, there will be opportunities for product reviews, giveaways and event related features. Each Mom Squad member will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the MommyCon of their choice as well as a selection of exclusive MommyCon merchandise.
I’m in! How do I apply?
You’ll start by filling out an application that you can find here: 2016 Mom Squad Application . You’ll have until 11:59 PM CST on October 27th to apply. After reviewing submissions, Team MommyCon will pick a Top 10—these will be announced on Friday, October 30. From there, starting on November 2nd, we’ll have 2 posts per day featuring our Top 10 contestants—we’ll look at votes from our followers—they’ll LIKE the posts with who they feel most connected to, and COMMENT to enter to win a MommyCon prize package, including a Tekhni Athena Spice size 6—so even if you don’t want to participate by applying, you’ll want to participate in our Instagram contest! The final winners will be announced on November 9th!
Please note that Mom Squad is a remote position that does not include travel or any expenses related to the program. All finalists will be determined by the MommyCon committee. Those that procure more than $600 in ticket referrals through their affiliate code will be required to fill out a W9.
